Red Kale 3 Weeks
After seeding, the next thing I learned was transplanting. These little red kale are actually not quite ready for transplanting, but we had to start thinning them in a hurry because someone made a mistake and planted 2 acres worth of seeds in this little tray. They’re too young to realize that soon they won’t be getting enough soil or sunlight or water in this crowded space, so I am taking the risk of giving them new homes, a bit prematurely, but to save them from a future more traumatic than could be realized now.

If you don’t have a yard, live in an apartment or just don’t have enough room for a garden, here’s a list of 12 vegetables you can grow in containers. I know from experience that herbs like basil grow really well in pots. I have not tried the others but we are growing green peppers in a pot, we’ll see how it goes. :)
